Welcome to Evangelical United Church of Christ's (EvUCC's) Web Site!  We hope you find our web site helpful, informative and interesting.  EvUCC is the oldest and largest Protestant church in Highland, IL - yet we worship God and serve the community in a spacious and modern facility.

Serving God Since 1840!

Our church made a huge "splash" with it's sea of blue at the Schweizerfest parades.  We had 90+ walkers in bright blue EvUCC t-shirts between the Saturday and Sunday parades.  We walked, sang, danced, threw candy and even had a few of the bell choir on hand.  Thanks to Hug Upholstery for the use of their antique trucks and Andrew and Kevin Kimmle for their showmanship on the unicycles.  The community definitely knows who EvUCC is now!!

Fun & Faith

The Mom 'n Me Group has changed their name to Fun & Faith. We wanted a name that was inclusive of the activities and events we want to sponsor through the church.  Look for announcements in the Weekly Word, Evangelines and on this website for upcoming events!  Some of these events include a Guys Night Out, Ladies Night Out, Couples Night Out, Trivia Night, Couples Retreat, Pumpkin Patch Party with hayride, and a stand at the Pb&J Festival on the square, just to name a few!

If you have any ideas for activities/events, please feel free to contact Beth Grohmann, Jacqueline Hegger, Marianne Kohrmann, or Angela Smith.

Sunday School News

We will be offering Summer Sunday School for children and are looking for volunteers to lead the lesson for one Sunday.  The lesson will be prepared with all of the materials and there will be helpers to work with the children.  Please consider volunteering for one Sunday that fits your schedule so we can plan this important program in the life of the church!
