Sunday School is offered for children three years old through the sixth grade.  Children begin the 9:30 worship service in the sanctuary for energetic opening worship and a relevant and fun Children's Message.  They are then dismissed to Sunday School within the first 10 minutes of worship.  After classroom dismissal at 10:30, the Kindergarten through 6th grade can be picked up or will be escorted back to the service if it is still in progress.  The 3 and 4 year olds can be picked up when the service is over.

The 3 and 4 year old classes enjoy age appropriate stories, crafts and music geared for their short attention span.

Kindergarten through 6th grade classes learn the Bible message through several 4 week sessions using the Power Express curriculum.  Each lesson will help your children learn God's word through interactive Bible stories, games, creative drama, hands-on projects, music, crafts, food, cooperative learning experiences and movement.

At various times throughout the year, Family Worship services are planned where children worship with their families and special activities are planned.

Scripture Memorization

As a way of growing inwardly in faith, we encourage children to memorize the following traditionally important Scripture passages and writings of the church.

Kindergarten, First and Second Grades - The Lord's Prayer

Third and Fourth Grades - The Ten Commandments

Fifth and Sixth Grades - The Books of the Old and New Testaments

Awards Program

Children will earn points which can be redeemed for various prizes.  Points will be awarded for attendance (children will keep a reflection journal and make an entry each week they attend); participation (reading in church, doing a skit, singing in the God Squad); learning the memory verse; bringing a friend; bringing their Bible.  Prizes will range from trinkets to gift certificates to tickets to events.
