Monthly Calendar

Catch the Faith

Catch the Faith Sunday School will be starting with new sessions in September.  We are excited to share our classroom rotation program for our Kindergarten through Sixth grade students.  This is an innovative way of teaching  through the use of music, art, drama, cooking, computers and science.  Our Sunday School students will learn the Bible stories in several ways as they rotate and experience a different way of telling the story each week during a session.  Our first session will be Calling the Disciples.

We are also asking for some volunteers who can assist our lead teachers on a rotating basis.  These extra hands would help with crafts, games and music activities with the only qualification being that you like to have fun!  If you would like to volunteer, please indicate that on your child's registration form.

Our fall Sunday School program will begin with Rally Day on September 7 at 9:30am.  The worship service will be held in our Fellowship Hall.  Dress will be casual and you are invited to bring lawn chairs if you would like.  The morning's schedule is as follows:

9:00 - 9:30

Columbus Day of Discovery

October 13

Celebrate Columbus Day with a tour of churches in the St. Louis area!  We will leave in the morning, visit a mosque, synagogue, and Catholic Church, with lunch at Union Station mixed in.  Make it a day of discovery and fun.  More details to follow - chaperones and drivers needed!

Hope to see you - and your friends!  All youth ages 7th grade and up are invited to come whenever you can!

Call or email Pastor Cherie if you have any questions.

Confirmation

Our new Confirmation ministry begins with a Service of Commissioning on Rally Day, September 7, during the 9:30am service.  We will also give NRSV Student Bibles to all the 7th grade youth beginning their confirmation journey.  All participating youth, their parents, and mentors are expected to join us for this special service.
