Sunday School: For children ages 3 through the 6th grade. Children sit with their families at the beginning of the 9:30 a.m. service and are dismissed to their classes following the Kid Korner message. Occasional Sundays will be designated as Family Sundays where children sit with their families for the entire service and participate in worship.
Nursery care: Available for infants and toddlers for all services.
Hearing amplification: Ask an usher for one of these devices.
Communion: The sacrament of Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month, and is open to all baptized Christians. We also have monthly communion services at the retirement and nursing homes in Highland.
Baptisms: Please talk to one of the pastors if you desire your child or yourself be baptized. Baptisms may be performed at any one of our three Sunday morning services, but usually not on communion Sundays.
Weddings: Wedding planning is done primarily through our church’s wedding consultant, and pre-marital counseling is available from the pastors. Building use and staff-time fees differ depending on whether one of the couple or their parents is a church member or not.
Funerals: Funeral planning is done primarily in consultation with the local funeral homes. Assistance with funeral luncheons can be provided by the church’s Women’s Guilds. Building use and staff-time fees differ depending on the deceased’s membership status and the financial situation of the family.
Memorial Chapel: The church’s historic Memorial Chapel is used for viewings, small funerals, small weddings, and other special services. |
